Step 1 - Download The Home Assistant App
Get the Home Assistant app from your app store.
Step 2 - Set Up The Home Assistant App
Open the app and follow the instructions to get locally set up with your Home Assistant.
Step 3 - Open This Setup Page
Go to homeway.io/app in your phone's web browser.
Important - You must complete the rest of this setup in your phone's web browser, or it will not work!

Step 4 - Add Remote URL in the Home Assistant App

Then do the following:
  1. Open the Home Assistant app.
  2. Open the menu by tapping the menu button at the top left of the screen.
  3. Select "Settings" in the App Menu.
  4. Select "Companion app" in the settings list.
  5. Select your server at the top of the settings page.
  6. Select "External URL".
  7. Paste the Remote Access URL copied from this page into the "External URL" text box.
  8. Tap "Save" at the top right.
  1. Open the Home Assistant app.
  2. Open the menu by tapping the menu button at the top left of the screen.
  3. Select "Settings" in the App Menu.
  4. Select "Companion app" in the settings list.
  5. Select your server in "Servers & devices".
  6. Select "Home network WiFi SSID" and follow the guide to select your home WiFi.
  7. Go back to server settings page.
  8. Copy the URL from "Home Assistant URL" to "Internal connection URL".
  9. Paste the Remote Access URL copied from this page to replace the "Home Assistant URL" value.
Keep your remote access URL private - it's designed to work only with the Home Assistant app.
